How to Refresh Your RSS Feed
While the internet is wonderful fast and responsive piece of technology, getting different platforms to sync larges amount of data can sometimes feel like it operates on its own schedule — none of which is more prominent when you're a podcaster and an episode is not where it needs to be.
That's why we now offer the ability to manually re-fresh your RSS feed from right within your dashboard!!
You can find the Refresh Feed button by navigating to your show's Settings page (it will be right next to your RSS feed)
With the new "Refresh Feed' button, there are two types of "refreshes" we offer, each of which do different actions.
- Hosted with Fusebox
- The "Refresh Feed" button will send a new copy of your RSS feed wherever it exists — i.e.: places like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.
- This is useful when a directory isn't displaying one of your recently published episodes.
- Hosted with Another Host
- The "Refresh Feed" button will request a new copy of your RSS feed from your host.
- This is helpful when you've published an episode inside your host's dashboard, BUT it's not yet in your Fusebox dashboard.
While both of the options will automatically complete the above actions, using the "Refresh Feed" button can help speed along the process whenever your host or directories have difficulty finding or sending new data to Fusebox.
*Please note, there is a 5 minute delay between button clicks. Meaning, you can only request to send/receive new data every 5 minutes.
