Setting an episode-specific cover image

These instructions are for Fusebox 2.0 only.

Fusebox 1.0 also supports episode-specific cover images and is managed in the WordPress plugin settings

*** THIS FEATURE IS IN BETA MODE ***

You may experience temporary outages or accidental reversals back to the default cover art

We understand that some episodes need to stick out from the rest - and what better way than updating your cover art to reflect that?

Well, now you can! Here's how...

Here is an example embed code.

<script async="" data-type="track" data-hash="J24xZAnWal" data-track="502" src="https://app.fusebox.fm/embed/player.js"></script>

When adding the embed code to an HTML block, add the following script before the player embed code.

Please keep in mind that the format of the script below is important and will not work if you delete spaces, commas, etc.

Feel free to copy the entirety of the script below when using this beta feature.

<script>
window.FuseboxPlayerAPIKey = '375|6yNCETJ1BoBg9bk4f9eFqYP5yn1C1faYgERjZEEgF9Jjctk19MX7HK6N6bcNqYG7Qxxxxxxxxxxx';   window.addEventListener("loadFuseboxPlayer", function(e) {     fuseboxPlayer(e.detail).setConfig({       cover: {         imageUrl: 'https://example.com/wp-content/cover-image.png'       }     });   }); </script>

Now, make the following two modifications:

Replace everything inside the quotations with the API token found within your account settings. If you're unsure where to find your API token, click here.

window.FuseboxPlayerAPIKey = '375|6yNCETJ1BoBg9bk4f9eFqYP5yn1C1faYgERjZEEgF9Jjctk19MX7HK6N6bcNqYG7Qxxxxxxxxxxx'

Next, replace everything inside the quotations with the file location of your alternate episode art

*this requires the file to be hosted somewhere else - as you can see, our file is hosted within the WordPress content folder.

imageUrl: 'https://example.com/wp-content/cover-image.png'

When it's all finished the entire script string + embed code should look like this, obviously with your API token and file location added:

<script>   window.FuseboxPlayerAPIKey = '375|6yNCETJ1BoBg9bk4f9eFqYP5yn1C1faYgERjZEEgF9Jjctk19MX7HK6N6bcNqYG7Qxxxxxxxxxxx';   window.addEventListener("loadFuseboxPlayer", function(e) {     fuseboxPlayer(e.detail).setConfig({       cover: {         imageUrl: 'https://example.com/wp-content/cover-image.png'       }     });   }); </script> <script async="" data-type="track" data-hash="J24xZAnWal" data-track="502" src="https://app.fusebox.fm/embed/player.js"></script>

If you've successfully followed these two modifications above, you will now see an episode-specific cover image!
